Watermark Orientation

The new convention adopted by Filatelic.com with regards to watermark orientation is illustrated in the image above. It will list the watermark followed by a number from 1 to 8 where:

1) Denotes a upright watermark reading left to right

2) Denotes a sideway watermark reading top to bottom

3) Denotes an upside down watermark

4) Denotes a sideway watermark reading bottom to top

5) Denotes a reverse upright watermark reading right to left

6) Denotes a reverse sideway watermark reading top to bottom

7) Denotes a reverse upside down watermark

8) Denotes a reverse sideway watermark reading bottom to top
